| Hi everyone and Happy New Year!
Well, it has been a while since reporting any news to you about the
progress at the club. As most of you have seen, the courts are under
construction and hopefully the weather will keep that project going without too
much interruption. The board has been meeting quite often to insure our recovery
is as swift as possible. We are so very anxious to see everyone resuming their
pre-Katrina routines with tennis, fitness and family fun! Like
most of you, I have been working hard to get my own home back in shape. I am
getting close and will be very happy to have that completed.
We have a special treat planned for everyone this Sunday. Four
members of the LSU Men's tennis team is coming to play an exhibition doubles
scramble with four of our club members. Rick Mount, Ron Pitisci, Jerry Holman
and Dave Knox will participate in this event. The fun starts at 11:00 am. We
will have a bar set up outside near the courts for everyone's viewing
pleasure. The weather is supposed to be very nice so we encourage everyone to
come out and meet some of the LSU tennis players and enjoy the afternoon.
We hope everyone is doing well and we look forward to seeing you
this Sunday!
